Location
The Whole Foods Foundation Educational Farm is located at 1180 Upper Hembree Road, Roswell, Georgia. It’s mission is to provide experiential learning about food through an outdoor learning environment. To learn more about the farm, visit their website here.
Logistics and Considerations
The farm is completely outdoors. There will be bathroom facilities available. Students should be dressed appropriately for the weather. Sunscreen, bottled water, closed-toe shoes, and a hat are strongly suggested. The field trip is organized into three rotational stations. Please have the students divided into 3 groups with name tags. We suggest a parent or teacher chaperone for every 10 students.
We are able to accommodate special needs students.
Students may bring a small snack to enjoy during a scheduled break.
Lunch - Though there is no space to eat lunch at the farm, your EverGreen Coordinator is happy to help you reserve a pavilion at nearby Wills Park or Hembree Park if you would like to have a picnic after your field trip.
The Whole Kids Foundation has generously offered to provide bus stipend of up to $400 to any school with a hardship. Please contact your EverGreen Coordinator for more details.
