Garden Adventure Field Trips for 2nd Grade


The Garden Adventure Field Trips are now open for 2nd grade classes in Fulton County.  This 3-hour program (9am-12pm) will engage the students in hands-on, dynamic activities that explore:
  • The parts of a plant
  • How plants grow
  • Comparing and contrasting vegetable and fruit varieties
  • The Cherokee and Creek planting practice known as The Three Sisters

Keep North Fulton Beautiful Welcomes Carla Bahun

Keep North Fulton Beautiful announces that Carla Bahun, EdD, is our new Environmental Educator and Program Coordinator. 
 
Carla brings extraordinary qualifications to her position, with a rich background in Environmental Education and non-profits.  She earned an Ed.D. in Instructional Leadership in Environmental Education, an M.S. in Natural Resource Conservation, and a B.A. in Biology. She has over 20 years experience as a professional educator, curriculum writer, and manager of instruction and programming, specializing in environmental education/science delivery, conservation initiatives, and program development.  
 
She has taught every age from Pre-K to adult, taught Environmental Science at University of North Georgia, and was the Director of Education at the Chattahoochee Nature Center.  She has certifications in Projects WET, Wild, Learning Tree, Adopt-a-Stream, and more.  

Carla will be serving as the Evergreen Coordinator for Johns Creek schools.  Welcome Carla!
